Official statement COVID-19

The A Lo Dominican Festival 2020 is postponed to 2021

Dear community:

We are all living through difficult times and we hope that you are all in good health.

With the current world crisis, COVID-19 has implanted terror throughout our homes. Today it still seems like we are living a horror film which none of us could have imagined, but still even with this mandatory quarantine, we remain in high spirits. We continue dancing in our homes, and contributing what we can to everyone, hoping to make them smile or make their lives less bitter. We fight to give each other our love even if it is with a video call and we stay together even in the worst moments, this makes us unique. However, we would like to share with you that we have been studying the situation of COVID-19 since it started in China and we have evaluated all the possible measures and alternatives to know what decision to make, it has been very difficult for us, since we have worked very hard all year to put this festival together and we have also waited a long time with great enthusiasm and the desire to see all the people we love and who support us wherever we go. But we honestly doubt that this crisis will stabilize any time soon and we believe that in these circumstances we must be consistent, cautious and responsible for the good of all.

Having said this, and for many reasons, we have decided to suspend the festival this year. We thought of all possibilities, but our hand was forced due to many issues, with the main ones being the health of our clients and artists caused by the global pandemic, social and economic instability, the problems with the airlines, and the different scenarios that occur every day around the world. As hard as the decision is, for us there would be nothing worse than a client of ours losing their health, which is why we have decided to suspend the festival this year and postpone it to 20-23 May 2021, in order to allow time for this situation to stabilize and so that we can maintain our original concept of sun, beach, and pool, as we had planned while preserving the health of all.

1- The line up will consist of the same artists, we will even incorporate some improvements.

2- Passes are automatically valid for the date mentioned above, as well as Hotel Guitart reservations.

3- If you cannot attend on that date you can resell your pass at no additional cost and by doing the change of ownership yourself from your private customer area at www.goandance.com

4- If you prefer a refund of the full amount of your pass, you can write a message to info@goandance.com with your order number, we accept refunds until April 15, 2020.

5- To manage the date change of your reservation at the Hotel Guitart write to reservas@guitarthotels.com specifying that it is for A lo Dominican Festival and making the date change to next year or requesting a refund until April 15, 2020.

6- As you already know the Festival was SOLD OUT, so only the passes that have been reimbursed will be put on sale, which probably will not be many, so it is IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR PASS AND YOUR HOTEL RESERVATION to enjoy with us the next year. The price of the passes will be set at the highest price of the last price increase.

Please be patient with Go&Dance and Hotel Guitart as they have to process not only our festival, but many other cancelled events. They will be managing changes gradually.

We understand that this is a very difficult time for all of our attendees, since they have waited all year to enjoy this festival that has given us all so many beautiful memories in previous editions, but life has stopped us and we believe that it is a time to unite, to be stronger, supportive, and more understanding than ever.

Thanks in advance to all of you for your support, trust, and understanding, at the same time we ask that for any questions you have we are at your entire disposal and can write to us at: alodominicanfestivalbarcelona@gmail.com

We apologize for any inconvenience and inform you that we are currently working hard to give you the best quality and make sure you are satisfied. Stay safe, and we will overcome this crisis together and support each other. Thank you.
